The University of Burgos (UBU) was founded in 1994 and has currently almost 9.000 students. What we offer:
Description

Process that allows energy recovery of oils and fats in wastewater from food industries through advanced membrane reactors AnMBR.

Innovative Aspects

Direct treatment of wastewater with high content in fats and oils without coagulation-flocculation-flotation pretreatment for removal of fat. The lack of a physical-chemical pretreatment reduced the cost of coagulants and flocculants and sludge management flotation. According to the chemical composition of oils and fats have a high methanogenic potential, which is optimal energy use

Utilization of biogas generated an improvement in production processes resulting in sustainable and more efficient process from the standpoint of energy

Energy savings in the Technical Building Code - Building energy demand (cte-he1)

What we offer:
It has a high degree of training in the legislative process of verification of energy savings in buildings. This training consists of practical skills, calculation tools to address these requirements in building energy facilities.
The Engineering Research Group Energy is able to determine the characteristic parameters of the thermal envelope of a building, from the point of view of energy demand
Apply computational procedures that show whether the building meets the energy demand limitation under the current rules

What we are looking for:
Companies working on energy efficiency issues in order to reduce energy consumption to acceptable limits for the current technology by limiting energy demand that the building required to meet the welfare conditions of the occupants

Research Group "Solar and wind feasibility technologies (SWIFT)"

Description of Activity

The group works on developing predictive procedures photovoltaic production from radiation data and development of specific databases for the region. We also worked on the analysis and audit of solar thermal and photovoltaic: failure analysis, predictive maintenance and optimization of operating facilities. We can also conduct feasibility studies for integrated special facilities in new buildings and / or existing.

What we are looking for:
Target market / market applications:

We mainly provide consulting and auditing work of existing facilities and feasibility studies for future facilities, with emphasis on building-integrated installations.
Besides, the research group can provide the following services

Generation storage and with hydrogen consumption electrolytic with renewable resources: wind and photovoltaic, operating simultaneously, with a power supply into around 70 KW

What we offer:
The world's energy needs, indispensable for the maintenance of life on our planet, are leading to significant wear of nonrenewable energy sources. This problem is partly solved by the energy supply clean, safe and unhindered

The control system comprises a hydrogen feed of 70 kW, formed by a subsystem comprising two wind turbines of 20 kW power unit, a fixed photovoltaic system of 20 kW and the other with two-axis solar tracking of 10 kW. This feeds an electrolyzer system of 18 kW alkaline with a production capacity of 3.5 N m 3 h through a power conditioner. A storage system using commercial bottles decouples the production of consumption. Finally, the hydrogen produced is consumed in a fuel cell 5 kW PEM. A regulation and control system allows automated performance of the plant. The research group working on the optimization of wind farms or photovoltaic hydrogen generation and maintains operational headquarters described to experimentally validate the optimization algorithms

What we are looking for:
Innovative Aspects

It aims to optimize the generation of clean hydrogen with wind farms, photovoltaic or combined, using perceptron and validation procedures by the central hydrogen installed.

Current and potential domain of application

At first it can be used for any business that already has or will have renewable energy sources, to store the surplus in the form of high purity hydrogen, either as fuel or for other uses.
